Institute of International Law (SRIIL) at Xi'an Jiaotong University is a
University research institute located in the School of Law. The SRIIL places
emphasis on quality ideas, research and teaching. The working language
of the SRIIL is either Chinese or English.

small research staff of high quality with research interests in public
international law, international economic law and private international
law. The staff includes supervisors for master's
and doctoral theses in these fields (Marxist theories and international
law). A thesis for a master's or a doctoral degree can be submitted in
either Chinese or English.

- The staff has an
international publication record that ranks among the best in the nation,
with books published by international publishers and articles published
in international journals such as: American Journal of International
Law, Chinese Journal of International Law, Columbia Law Review, European
Journal of International Law, Germany Yearbook of International Law,
International and Comparative Law Quarterly (UK), Journal of World
Trade, The Journal of World Investment and Trade, Leiden Journal of
International Law, Max Planck Yearbook of United Nations Law and
American Journal of Comparative Law. Some of the papers have been used
before the International Court of Justice and in the syllabi of
universities around the world, and featured in Xinhua
Digests and Renmin University Reprints. The staff includes members who
have participated in important international writing projects such as
the Oxford University Press project titled “The Statute of the
International Court of Justice: A Commentary”.

international writing projects.
